We currently have 25 approx. staff (some work from home as well) - with the firms PM software being on the cloud, what type of internet connection is required to cater for this? We currently have an internal server with an ADSL 2 connection.
Cloud Internet Connections: At Change Accountants and Advisors we are on 10 MBPS up and down. There are other factors involved that affect your internet speed (such as if the line is copper, it’s a dedicated line, the NBN, distance from exchange etc) but a number of firms confirmed ADSL 2 being ‘sufficient’. Note: Increased need for bandwidth will be triggered by your use of Cloud Document Manager or BOX more so than XPM. The logic we used at Change was to invest a portion of the money saved on IT Support, Server Upgrade and Maintenance and MYOB Subscriptions into better connections where available and necessary.
